LUNCH LEAGUE OFF TO A ROARING START
Our CHA lunch soccer league may be the most popular event taking place at CHA these days . This league takes place during the recess portion of lunch, and currently has eighty students participating in grades 1-5. We just finished the regular season in the upper league (grades 3-5) and will start the playoffs next Wednesday. We will let everyone know who makes it to the championship game. So far the Sharks are the team to beat, as they have won every game they have played. Jacob Schar (3rd grade) has scored 11 goals in three games to help lead the Dolphins. As for the Primary league, both games this week finished in ties. The schedule for the league will be posted on the door by the library for those interested in coming out to show your CHA support. We are planning for a school wide audience for the championship games in both the upper league and primary league--Parents are more than welcome!
Modified Athletics
We have listened to our students and parents and have created an adapted program that allows students to participate at the level they feel comfortable. There is now a standard exercise based PE and a more competitive sports athletic PE for our students.
Middle School Athletics
Coach Lance Allison, our MS Athletics Coach, gave us and overview of our MS Athletics program on Wednesday, March 12th. He also answered questions from interested parents.
