Volunteer Appreciation Day
On Wednesday, April 30th, our entire school community honored our many volunteers here on campus. All of our classrooms spent time preparing and delivering beautiful presentations for our Volunteers. Mr. Jeff Barnes and Mrs. Jane Brosnan worked together along with the entire staff to create a lovely morning! An Omelet bar was provided and the Shul was beautifully decorated by Mr. Jeff Barnes.

Student presenters were:
Jordy Chowaiki (K), Elad Ben-Moshe (1st)
Olivia Pearl (2nd)
Micah Weitzman (3rd)
Zoe Sorokin (4th)
Muka Eilfort (5th)
Judith Bross (6th)
Sharon Levin (7th)
Mendel Dinerman(8th)

This beautiful quilt was created by the 4th Graders under Mrs. Jane Brosnan's guidance.

Our New Principal Came to CHA!
On Thursday, May 1st, Bonnie Corduan spent the afternoon meeting parents, students and staff here at CHA!

She reported that she felt at home the moment that she stepped onto the campus and she wanted the office to thank all the parents that she met for their warm welcome.

She will be visiting us on several Tuesday afternoons here on our campus during the remainder of the school year. Please contact Cindee at csparks@chasd.org if you would like to schedule some time with Bonnie Corduan.

Look for a picture of her in next week's Newsletter!

1st & 5th Grade "Buddies"

Our 1st and 5th Grade Classrooms teamed up for reading this week. They read quietly out in the grassy courtyard together. It was a special time for both groups as they learned what it means to be a "buddy"!
