Look out for Cloud Cover at CHA! --
Kindergarten and 1st Grade joined for a spectacular in-school science workshop from the San Diego Natural History Museum on Clouds. Students created chalk relief paintings with blue paint and cotton clouds.
They read the book, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs", and danced and sang songs to the clouds.
As students moved through the stations, they wrote about the different types of clouds and drew pictures of each. They then compared the blue sky to the white clouds in a frosting taste test that was yummy and informational. They used their own breath to simulate condensation on glass depicting clouds.
The day was filled with fun and learning as students used their math, reading, writing and science skills in cloudy activities!
