Our January PIE Event is being held at our PIE Breakfast on Friday, January 16th. We are proud to announce that the Executive Director of the Agency for Jewish Education, Alan Rusonik & Super Bowl XXVII Dallas Cowboy Offensive Lineman, Alan Veingrad are our scheduled guest speakers. The breakfast will be followed by a special practice session with students on our competitive sports teams.

Alan Veingrad was an Offensive Lineman with the Green Bay Packers & Dallas Cowboys and a Member of Super Bowl XXVII World Champion Dallas Cowboy Team in 1993. He was signed by Dallas Cowboys to play with Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith. With Alan blocking, Emmitt Smith earned the rushing title and awarded Veingrad with a signed Rolex watch as a token of his appreciation. Alan won five Game Balls in his career for game-winning performance. Recognized as highly versatile and consistent "veteran" and played every position on the line, except center. Alan says "It's hard being a professional football player. It's harder still being a Jewish football player.

AJE director Alan Rusonik is a highly regarded leader in the world of Jewish Day School Education. He has received several honors, including the Yavneh Award for Distinguished Community Service by a Jewish Educator, and the Irving L. Samuels Outstanding Teacher Award for Judaic Studies. Mr. Rusonik will be speaking about the state of Contemporary Jewish Education.
