CHA Students gathered together dressed in team colors ready to begin their awesome day of competition and fun led by Athletic Director, Coach Olson!
Special guests Sebastian Trujillo QB for the University of San Diego along with Conrad Smith, OL and Long Snapper for the University of San Diego joined us on Lag B'Omer. Both athletes spoke about the importance of being student/athletes by maintaining their studies while playing sports and the benefit of trying all sports available to broaden their experiences.
Sebastian is the new Quarter Back at USD for the 2009/2010 season.
Previously, he played two years at Saddleback College,
completing 79 out of 142 passes for 1,023 yards and 8 touchdowns.
He graduated from Durango High School in Durango, CO.
His Senior year he was named Offensive MVP after passing for 40 touchdowns and 2,000 yards.
Energy, enthusiasm and excitement filled the air as Chani S expressed that
"This is the best field day ever!"
Sebastian and Conrad answered a series of excellent questions from our students about their plans for the future, their favorite athletes & teams and some insight on how much time and effort they have to put into playing football!
The Girls Purple team and the Boys Brown team won the team awards
on Lag B'Omer field day.

The Middle School students played valiantly against our awesome faculty but they were unable to eek out a victory! Must be all those Professional Growth hours that contributed to our faculty's seamless teamwork on the court!
