International Space Station Flight Engineer Cady Coleman gave a video tour of the Space Station as she gathered supplies for CHA 5th Graders, Shayna S and Rachel E's Micro G Experiment.
Shayna and Rachel's experiment is titled "Attracting Water Droplets". Their goal is to see if putting a statically charged rubber tubing near a free floating water droplet would attract the droplet like it does while it is falling to Earth in normal gravity. If this turns out to be the case, it could be helpful in collecting "escaping" water droplets which could damage sensitive equipment.
All the safety tests have cleared and Shayna and Rachel's experiment has priority - being the first place in the nation - when time is available.
