Pi Day at CHA

The entire middle school and honors math students celebrated Pi day and Albert Einsteins birthday with a day full of Pi related activities. Pi day culminated with a fascinating presentation by CHA grandparent of Ariana & Gregory Eiseman, Dr. Kurt Eisemann who shared his memories of the assistance that he had received from Albert Einstein as well as his journey through the world of math at a very young age. Students were able to witness first hand the genius and humanity of the great Albert Einstein. Thank you to Dr. Eisemann for sharing his greatest memories in public for the first time. There was an Albert Einstein look alike contest and the memorization and recitation of the digits of Pi. Congratulations to our students who memorized in the hundreds of digits. Micah Weitzman, Gali Shalev & Mendel Dinerman were our look alike winners and they received an Einstein action figure. Our Pi recitation competition was an excellent example of our student's ability to memorize. The Pi winner will be announced on Monday. He/She will win a pi t-shirt and a party for his/her classmates. Our students displayed a pi-chain throughout campus to shed light on the magnitude of this infinite decimal. The day was capped off with servings of apricot and apple Pi!
