While schools across the state are losing teachers and support, CHA is hiring talent! We are truly grateful to have a tremendous team in place this year from Infant through Middle School. The atmosphere is alive with excitement for what we can achieve each day with our students!
New Staff
Heather, Lindsay, Danny, Brandy, Jeff, Donna, Cheryl, Brooke
- Danny Zeldin joins us as our Middle School Humanities Teacher. We are very excited about the far reaching vision and direction of our Humanities program that will prepare our middle schooler's for the rigors of high school and college writing. Mr. Zeldin is a serious scholar and published author who is recognized in the east coast private school world for his pedagogy and curriculum skills. His tenure as Director of Humanities and Judaic Studies at Community High School of Connecticut and at JCHS of the Bay give him a unique perspective as to each of our students requirements for success in high school and beyond. You'll be hearing great reports from your students as Mr. Zeldin brings his fresh, fun approach to the classroom.
NEW SCHOOL COUNSELOR Carrie Hanson MFS Pps is a welcome addition to our school community as she brings a wealth of counseling and individual and community experience to CHA. Ms. Hanson is on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work with students. Ms. Hanson is always available to set up an appointment and would love to assist you and your child in any way possible. She can be reached at chanson@chasd.org
- Cheryl Yoshida was one of Mr. Jaffe's first calls after working together with Mrs. Stanley to provide a dedicated, full range Middle School math program and enable our students to have the opportunity to take 9th and 10th grade math credits at CHA. Cheryl is our extremely dynamic 5th Grade teacher. Mrs. Yoshida has already decided that her students are the best group that she has ever taught!
- Donna Agins has taken the Art Program to new heights as she is skillfully combining the fundamentals of art with Judaic Holidays. Walking into the art studio you will see students in full concentration working on technique, style and artistic development. Students have found Donna to be a serious artist and spend their breaks and recess working on their art in her studio. We are thrilled to have her here at CHA and know you will be seeing exceptional art here on campus and coming home from your students.
- Brooke Klein brings a cheerful attitude to each and every day of her Kindergarten class. She considers her team of 5 teachers dedicated to the Kindergarten students "the dream team" and is grateful for the wonderful children that comprise her classroom. She is excited for all the fun learning that is already taking place.
- Pnina Carlebach comes to us directly from South Africa where she worked with students at Kind David Schools and as a youth director in Johannesburg. Together with Morah Zeldi, she is an enthusiastic and gifted Judaic Resource Teacher for grades 3 -8. She is also heading up our Bat Mitzvah Club this year.
- Heather Guasco is a credentialed Teacher working with small groups in our Kindergarten General Studies classroom. She is a welcome addition to our happy group in the Kindergarten family.
- Lindsay Spector is working in our Kindergarten Judaic Studies classroom and really loves being at CHA. Ms. Spector is a credentialed teacher who also speaks and reads Hebrew and is looking forward to the year ahead.
- Carrie Vo is our 3rd Grade General Studies Teaching Associate. Ms. Vo came highly recommended by the UCSD Master's in Education program. She is enjoying teaching our great students and working with Ms. Summers.
- Jeff Feitelberg has teamed up with Mrs. Marquez in the 4th Grade General Studies classroom as a Teaching Associate. We were fortunate that a colleague of Mr. Jaffe's referred Mr. Feitelberg to us as a rising educational star. He rounds out our 4th Grade classroom teaching staff.
- Brandy Adkins is a credentialed teacher working in our 2nd Grade General Studies classroom as a Teaching Associate. She has a wealth of experience in the classroom and as a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
- Tammy Kuyenov is our Teaching Associate in the 1st Grade classroom. Ms. Kuyenov brings with her excitement and passion for working with her students in and out of the classroom.
- Ariana Angeloni is our Bus Monitor every morning and afternoon. Her office support and all around assistance is truly appreciated by staff and students alike. We are fortunate to have such a responsible and friendly addition to our CHA front office team.
