The siren sounded at 3:25 pm and the entire campus was silent as all considered the price that has been paid by the Israeli Soldiers to achieve and maintain independence as a nation. After the parade of flags into the Auditorium, our school wide celebration began with heartfelt readings, songs and short performances. Students performed entirely in Hebrew, expressing a love for Israel by singing and dancing in celebration of Israels 62nd independence day. In honor of Yom Ha'Zikaron, the students didn't forget about the men and women who protect our beautiful country, Israel by writing letters to Chayalim (soldiers) and reflecting on the personal sacrifice of those who defend our freedom.
