Lower School

Childhood is a time of curiosity and inquiry — there is something new to discover every day. From the beginning, our teachers nurture children’s innate creativity and give them opportunities to learn and explore the world around them. With a low teacher to student ratio, our teachers and specialists are able to respond to the academic and developmental needs of each child, providing the individual attention that is necessary during these fundamental years. Using hands-on, interactive lessons, teachers collaborate to integrate units of study, allowing students to make meaningful connections across the curriculum. The classroom curriculum is further enriched by specialty classes in physical education, fine arts, music, Hebrew language, and science lab. In the Lower School at CHA, children are challenged to become critical thinkers in a warm and caring environment designed to foster a lifelong love of learning.
