Middle School

Increasing academic expectations and growing student independence characterize the Middle School experience at CHA. Students are challenged to reach their potential in each subject by caring professionals who are passionate teachers as well as role models. Students choose from exciting and cutting edge electives and have the privilege to participate and make their mark through a variety of leadership activities. Students develop the skills to manage their time and materials, and to improve their study skills as they strive to meet the expectations of multiple teachers – all of which is critical preparation for high school and beyond. While teachers challenge students to achieve their academic potential, they also act as role models and mentors as students build character, seek independence and strengthen their identities. CHA graduates leave prepared for San Diego’s top public and independent high schools with a strong sense of self, rooted in Jewish values and personal integrity.
